Born and raised in Cape Town, 28-year-old Bongile gravitated to the arts at an early age making his breakthrough as the Boxer in the TV advert for Jungle Oats at the tender age of five.
Fast forward more than two decades, after studying Public Relations at Cape Peninsula Institute of Technology, he is currently a Digital Content Manager for one of the biggest companies in the world.
Bongile has always been a multifaceted creative, as many PR Practitioners are. After completing his studies, and having a once-off show at 2oceansvibe Radio, he entered the agency world and began working on local and international brands. Here, he stumbled onto a brief that required voice over work.
Seeing an opportunity having worked on radio, he put his name in the hat and succeeded in booking his first job; the Jive International Funny Festival. Since then, he has steadily built a CV doing voice overs for adverts and products.
When not working in the digital and voice over space, he spends his time DJing at the best venues in South Africa, while curating events and writing freelance content for Red Bull.
He still gravitates towards the arts.
